5 Lions Megaways: the seven free spins options and the 5,000x cap in pesos
Published — UTC

5 Lions Megaways is a Pragmatic Play slot with a 96.50% RTP on the official game page. Its bonus is unusual: before the free spins start, the player chooses one of seven options, and each option fixes both the number of free spins and the range of wild multipliers that apply during them. This article reads those options from the official demo rules screens, works out what the 5,000x round cap means in pesos at several bets, and flags a buy-price detail that the rules screens do not reconcile.
The seven free spins options
The official demo’s rules screen (page 3 of 8, read 2026-10-15) lists six options with a fixed number of spins and a wild-multiplier set, plus a mystery option. The mystery option takes the spin count and multiplier range from the other six.
| Option | Free spins | Wild multiplier values |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 25 | 2x, 3x, 5x |
| 2 | 20 | 3x, 5x, 8x |
| 3 | 15 | 5x, 8x, 10x |
| 4 | 13 | 8x, 10x, 15x |
| 5 | 10 | 10x, 15x, 30x |
| 6 | 6 | 15x, 30x, 40x |
| 7 | Mystery | Spins and range picked from options 1 to 6 |
The pattern is a trade-off that the table makes visible. Options with more spins carry smaller multipliers; options with fewer spins carry larger ones. The page does not say which option pays most on average, and we did not simulate the options, so the table describes the choices and does not rank them.
Base-game wild multipliers
Outside the bonus, the rules say a wild that is part of a winning combination receives a random multiplier from 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x, 10x, 15x, 30x and 40x. The same demo data lists that set as the base-game values, which matches the page.
The 5,000x cap in pesos
The rules screen says the maximum win in a free-spins round is 5,000 times the bet, and that the round ends once it reaches that amount. The demo’s game data also records the same 5,000x figure. A cap is a multiple of the bet, so the peso value moves with the stake. Our calculation at the minimum, demo default and maximum bets shown on the rules screen:
| Bet (per the rules screen) | Cap at 5,000x |
|---|---|
| $0.20 (minimum) | $1,000 |
| $2.00 (demo default) | $10,000 |
| $300.00 (maximum) | $1,500,000 |
The rules screen quotes currency in dollars. A Philippine operator may show pesos or another currency with different bet steps, so convert the table with the bet values that operator actually displays.
How often a 5,000x round would appear
The demo data gives a reported frequency of 1 in 907,551 for the maximum round win. If rounds are independent and that figure is right, the chance of at least one such round in n spins is 1 − (1 − 1/907,551)n. Our calculation:

At 10,000 spins the chance is about 1.1%, and at 100,000 spins it is about 10%. These are ceilings and odds, not expectations. The frequency is one demo field that we did not measure, so the figures show the method and the scale, not a confirmed property of the game.
The buy price does not reconcile on the screens
The game rules page says the free spins feature can be bought for 100 times the current base bet. The demo’s on-screen bar, however, shows a “Buy Free Spins” button reading $20 next to a bet display of $2.00. Those two statements imply different prices: 100 times $2.00 would be $200, while the button reads $20, which is 10 times $2.00. The base bet at the button may not be the $2.00 in the bar, so we cannot tell which figure applies.
The ante option is less ambiguous. The rules list a 25x bet multiplier, and the bet display shows $2.50 when the base reads $2.00, which is an increase of 25%. We report the on-screen amount, not an interpretation of the “25x” label. Before buying a feature or turning on the ante bet, read the price shown in the live game screen, not an example in an article, including this one.
What this article does not show
- No demo or live session was run for this article, so no observed results are reported.
- The seven options are described, not ranked, because we did not simulate their average payouts.
- The frequency and the buy-price discrepancy are unconfirmed against a second official document.
Use the RTP as a long-run average and the cap as a ceiling. Play only with money you can afford to lose, and set a limit before you start.
