Slots · Bet controls and settings return

A setting goes down, why is the total bet still high?

If two inputs are changed, it may not be enough to return one. Compare the entire configuration and current total; the previous value in a control is not proof that the previous bet has been returned.

Bronze slot machine and two controls Size and Level, there is a question if the full bet has been returned.

One field is now back to 0.10. Does that mean the total bet is the same again? We don’t know yet. If the second setting remains 8 which used to be 2, the total can still be four times even though the first number looks familiar.

This guide is for auditing settings, not choosing a bigger bet. There are four dummy control records below. It can see which input was returned, which was left out, and only when the total returned to the original value.

There is a real document showing the same change

In Mahjong Ways Game Information by PG Soft, section 4.1, Bet Size and Bet Level are separate in Bet Options. Max Bet is described as placing a maximum of both settings. This shows why a control does not always affect only one field.

The document read is marked 08/07/2025. We have not tested the live interface and do not assume that controls or availability are the same across operators. The following values and formulas are own explanatory model, not configuration of Mahjong Ways or your account. It is also not necessary to press Max Bet to do this analysis; written rules and existing records are sufficient.

Four notes: is the configuration back intact?

We will set the model sum = 12 × size × level. 12 is the fixed factor chosen for the worksheet; it is not a number of paylines or winning ways of a real game. The “size” is the amount in accounting units, and the “level” is the multiplier of the setting. No currency conversion, extra feature fee or round result in the example.

Own hypothetical settings. These are just configurations, not four completed spins.
noteWhat was changed?SizeLevelCalculate the totalCompared to A
AOriginal configuration0.10212 × 0.10 × 2 = 2.40Basis
BBoth inputs increased in the shortcut model0.50812 × 0.50 × 8 = 48.0020 times
COnly size returned0.10812 × 0.10 × 8 = 9.604 times anyway
DLevel is also returned0.10212 × 0.10 × 2 = 2.40Same with A

In C, the observation that the total dropped from 48.00 to 9.60 is correct. But “is it back to 2.40?” is a different question. The answer is no. The size is now at its previous value, but the level remains at 8. Going down from a higher setting is not the same as going back to the original.

Own A/B/C/D settings table: totals of 2.40, 48.00, 9.60 and 2.40; C is still four times as much as A.
Own model 12 × size × level. Values are not configuration of PG Soft, history of real spins or prediction.

Where did 4× come from, and why shouldn’t the change be added?

C and A can be compared directly: 9.60 ÷ 2.40 = 4. The inputs can also be compared: the fixed factor and size are the same, so the level ratio of 8 ÷ 2 is the remaining factor in this model. The difference is 9.60 − 2.40 = 7.20 units.

For B versus A, five times the size and four times the level. Since the formula is multiplication, the total ratio is 5 × 4 = 20. Not 5 + 4 = 9. It is also not correct to say that the total is only five times because that is the only change in the first field that is noticed.

The scope of this bill is important. We are not saying “4x the chance” or “20x the profit”; ratio of the total stake in the own model is computed. The formula provides no payout, probability or jackpot eligibility. If a different computation is documented in the actual game, use that.

Compare the entire record, not a piece of screenshot

Make side-by-side notes for the previous configuration and the current view: exact label, value, unit, and displayed total. In the worksheet, “A: 0.10 / 2 / 2.40” and “C: 0.10 / 8 / 9.60” are enough to see the remainder. When only the level is covered by the crop, the explanation for why the totals are different is lost.

If the number itself changes units, use the credit and denomination conversion before comparing balances or total stakes.

First read the definition of control. A field that directly changes the Bet Amount may behave differently from a field that selects a component. Don’t assume that the plus/minus buttons are always spaced the same, that closing is an automatic reset, or that reloading brings back the previous selection. We have no evidence for those behaviors in the reader’s account.

As a separate example of the disclosure standard, the UK Gambling Commission RTS 2A–2B discusses clear value, conversion if any, and information about the gamble before committing. This is for the regulated scope of Great Britain; this is not a verification of the site’s license or legal compliance in the Philippines.

If the documented formula and displayed total do not match, keep both records and mark unclear. Check if there are other units, active options or costs that have not been included. If there’s still no explanation, don’t add a new spin just to test which one is right.

The settings note is not spending history yet

We cannot add 2.40 + 48.00 + 9.60 + 2.40 and call it spent. The four rows are states of controls, and we have no claim to have a confirmed round in each. The expense requires a corresponding transaction record; having a setting on the screen is another type of evidence.

Also, a new selection does not change the stake of a previously confirmed round. If the question is about a previous debit, find the matching history record, time and identifier. If the question is about the next configuration, read the current inputs and totals. Separating the two questions prevents mixing up the old screenshot and the new setting.

For real account debit, the support of the operator holding the transaction is required; no account settlement is performed on this worksheet.
